wrang (2008)

Hidden power structures that exist within families, relationships and society as a whole, are a subject of interest in my work. I see the domestic environment as an integral part of our personal identity and this environment makes us who we are today. In my final exam project called ´Wrang,´I observed my role within the family by reconstructing a family album and installation. I was trying to voice hidden feelings and fears children have in their youth and found an intimate way to express them.

The book was selected in 2010 at 'Le Garage' in Arles between dummies of other photographers like: Taryn Simon, Morten Andersen and Adam Broomberg & Oliver Chanarin.
