‘A Quiet Mind I’ has been made from cut outs from a German vintage photo book about water, wind and white sails. Being an observer from the coastline instead of a participant is symbolized within these images, but also having this deep desire to be on the water without fear.
I am the white gold that is trying to take in a space, finding her own way within the given landscape. Slowly, quietly, fragile but definitive .Looking and longing for a connection, allowing oneself for taking in a space instead of harmonizing the space dictated by the other.
Dealing with internalized, unconscious expectations, remnants from a distant past, the work functions as a mirror, the water reflects like silver and is taking everything with it.
