Created from a vintage German photo book about sailing, these works explore themes of fragility, presence, and quiet resistance. Separate images are joined, and a trace of gold leaf accentuates and reveals what connects them. A Quiet Mind I captures the longing to move from observer to participant, to take up space without fear or conformity. Water becomes a symbol of reflection and release: the sea is a mirror, the other is a mirror, and so is the viewer of the work.
