My first self-published book ‘The First Three Years’, (limited edition of 250) brings together three art photography/collage series around the topic of Motherhood: ‘Sehnzucht’, ‘Sehnzucht:The Remix’ and ‘Interconnection’.

The book was nominated for the Book Award 2019 from the International Photofestival Encontros da Imagem.

Charlotte Irwin from Float Magazine: The woman behind the camera, the maker of this book, and the creator of this child is identified by the things she has created, but her identity is then subsumed by her domestic role. But I start to think that maybe the fact she’s not there to be seen, but is reflected in her creation, is not a complete loss but something more powerful. The death of the author in autobiography feels strange and self-denying, but in the case of motherhood it feels like a quietly beautiful act.

Olga Bubich: Simple objects, walls, corners... Cushions, a surprised baby... Motifs repeat, go round in circles, reveal themselves in rhyming insertions - the claustrophobia of motherhood that Eva writes about in the lines just barely peeking out from under the transparent page, you feel it almost immediately.
