Interdependency I & II (2023)

"Interdependency" delves into the intricate web of human relationships, shining a spotlight on the nuanced interplay of power dynamics and communication barriers. Through a deliberate focus on elements such as gaze, hands, and body language, the artist crafts a visual narrative that speaks volumes about the complexities inherent in our interactions with others.

Drawing from 80-year-old photo material, the series deliberately underscores the persistence of gender stereotypes and societal norms that continue to shape our relationships in contemporary society. By juxtaposing vintage imagery with modern sensibilities, the artist invites viewers to confront the enduring legacy of gender inequalities and the ways in which they manifest in our everyday lives.
